Alrihkh I enjoy the cinematic quality of Antony & company’s music. It complements the fantastical nature of these songs very well. Part 2 is my favourite of this suite. The knob accordion adds a great whimsical (nostalgic/rural?) feel to the entire suite, reminding me of pastoral moments in Link’s adventures in Hyrule. Overall, I give this a 7.5/10, though Part 2, for me, is about an 8.5/10. Thank you, Karfagen! Favorite track: Dragon Island Suite Part 2.

Carsten Pieper The core suite of the 10th Karfagen album. I went for this "part-release" because it comes in shiny HD quality which suits this incredibly rich music very well!
A must-have for fans of melodic retro-prog, as I have to admit after jumping this big big train quite belated.

And of course: Slava Ukraini! I hope your country will be freee of these terroristic attacks soon, Antony! Peace to the world! Favorite track: Dragon Island Suite Part 1.

impressivelad Among Antony's most ambitious projects, the Dragon Island Suite is a colourful, pastoral and upbeat progressive rock journey. The folky instrumentation recalls the symphonic rock classics of early Yes and Genesis though this is well balanced by heavier passages. Despite being a 50+ minutes song the Dragon Island Suite passes by quickly without overstaying it's welcome. Favorite track: Dragon Island Suite Part 2.

The album takes off nicely with David Longdon's "The Strangest Times", but then gets into immediate free fall and deeply underwater for the next few tracks, quite unexpectedly. Fortunately, it recovers with Nick D'Virgilio's "Apollo" (hey, this guy CAN write good music, although he hides this ability most of the time) and the remaining three tracks, one of which is another Longdon masterpiece.
